Iseult’s aesthetic is heavily influenced by the Art Deco period, particularly its interiors and the distinctive vintage bathrooms of the era. We’re naturally drawn to these spaces, often seeking them out for inspiration and finding endless reference in their details, and enduring style.
Our cylindrical bottles and rounded gold caps take subtle cues from this period, we like to think Iseult belongs in these beautifully considered spaces, sitting amongst the objects on an Art Deco vanity or within a bathroom inspired by this era.
A lasting influence
Emerging in the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco brought together strong architectural forms, rich materials and an attention to detail that extended from buildings and furniture to the smallest objects within a room.
Bathrooms from the period are a particular source of inspiration for us. Glossy tiles, marble, chrome fittings, sculptural lighting and carefully chosen objects created spaces that felt functional, but still beautiful.
There is something about this balance that feels very Iseult. Our approach to fragrance is similarly considered. Simple enough to become part of an everyday ritual, while still feeling special in the way it looks, feels and sits within your space.
Designed to live with you
When developing Iseult, we wanted the bottles to feel less like something that needed to be hidden away and more like an object you would naturally leave on a bathroom shelf, dressing table or bedside table.
The influence is subtle rather than literal, but the shapes, proportions and warm gold details all reference an era of thoughtful, enduring design.
For us, Art Deco remains an endless source of inspiration, not only for how Iseult looks, but for the world we imagine it living within.
